The Challenge

Ember & Oak was a growing Nashville bistro with no website — relying entirely on walk-ins and word-of-mouth. The owner needed a professional online presence that would drive table reservations, showcase the menu, and rank on Google for ‘restaurants in Nashville TN’.

The Solution

We built a mobile-first custom WordPress website using the Blocksy theme, with a warm, elegant design matching the restaurant’s upscale-casual brand. The site includes an online reservation system via Bookly, an interactive menu layout, a full-screen photo gallery, and a Google Maps integration. Every page was optimized with RankMath for local SEO.

How We Built It

1

Discovery

We began by understanding the business goals, target audience, competitor landscape, and key conversion actions the website needed to drive.

2

Design

Wireframes and page layouts were designed and presented for approval before any development began. Typography, color, and layout all matched the client’s brand identity.

3

Development

The site was built on WordPress with the Blocksy theme and Gutenberg editor — giving the client full control over content after handover. All plugins were configured and tested before launch.

4

Launch

After final testing across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, the site was deployed. Full handover and training was provided so the client could manage the site independently.
